Nurse Assistant – Acute Care
Program Description
The Acute Care-CNA course focuses on broadening the CNA’s scope of knowledge and clinical experience to include skills required to work in an acute care setting such as a hospital. Students taking this course must have successfully completed the NA course & passed the NA state competency test.
Students must show proof of current BLS CPR training.
Enrollment Process
STEP 1
Contact Registration Staff at (909) 793-3115 ext. 500 or complete an Interest Form.
STEP 2
Complete registration information that is emailed to you and schedule an appointment to meet in person with Student Services, Registration staff.
STEP 3
Meet in person at the site to complete the enrollment process (Bring legal ID & original social security card)
Program Prerequisites
Basic reading test required. Call for testing appointment. Testing is free.
Requirements
Students must provide a physical examination, TB screening, seasonal flu shot, COVID-19 Vaccine & shoes
Program Costs
$950
Funding assistance available for those who qualify and/or payment plans are available.
Notes
Students are required to attend all class/clinical sessions as scheduled. All class/clinical sessions are held in person.
Program Requirements:
- Must have completed NA program with a B or better or completed 6 months as a CNA in a long-term care facility
- Must possess current BLS First Aid certification & show card on first day of class
- Must attend all classes as scheduled
- Uniform required (scrubs). Not included in program costs. Specific color requirements: Black Bottoms and Top blue shade called CIEL or CIEW. Uniforms are available for purchase at the school
