Video Game Design 1

Course Description

Video Game Design 1 is for anyone who loves computer games and wants to make them for themselves. This course provides students the opportunity to learn the principles of video game development and the hands-on application of gaming ideas. Students will be introduced to video game industry practices, tools, and history. Students will study basic components of video games, create processes to produce an interactive video game for market, and analyze successful design aspects. Activities in this course include work-based learning that connects students to industry and the local community.
